The Research on Methods of Developing Senior Students' History Thinking Ability is not only an important realm of the theory research in History teaching but the crux of History teaching reform and development. History thinking ability is the nucleus of the subject of History. Developing Senior Students' History thinking ability accords with the demands of teaching aims, and it is an important research task as well. This helps students form an accurate concept in History and master the methods of analyses, syntheses and conclusions. This thesis chiefly sets forth the main channels and methods with plenty of teaching cases. It aims to connect the theory of History pedagogy with teaching practice so as to further History teaching reform and promote teaching efficiency.This article, based on theory and practice, meets the requirements of education for all-around development. The important way to evaluate Senior Students' History Thinking Ability is to know how they analyse and solve the historical problems they meet by making good use of certain ways or means, which can also result in their good knowledge and correct consciousness about history. The main points of developing Senior Students' History Thinking Ability in this article are on the definition, classification, abjectives,the principles, the influencing factors and the methods.Form much research on Methods of developing Senior Students' History Thinking Ability, we can conclude as follows:first, Developing Senior Students' visual thinking ability is supposed to accumulate interesting historical materials to enrich teaching content including exerting vivid language to enhance teaching arts and improving sensible cognition by visual aid. Secondly, it is of great importance to develop abstract thinking ability, especiallyin application of historical concept. Thirdly, it is also aimed at developing critical thinking ability, such as application of exercises teaching, scene-creating, activity-class probling. lately, Developing Senior Students' History Thinking Ability can motivate Student to take active part in class activities by designing , explaining and doubting problems in class.
