The Research On College's PBL-based Engineering Talent Cultivation Mechanism

Ever since entering the 21st century, the importance of engineering talent in enhancing our country's core competition ability is becoming more and more obvious. Improving the cultivation quality of engineering talent is the first priority of college's reformation and innovation. Nowadays, problem-based learning(PBL), is the popular talent cultivation pattern in the world, it appeared and has got a great development in medicine ever since 1990s.Recently, practice of problem-based learning has extended to other fields besides medicine。Practice of problem-based learning in engineering talent cultivation began to appear, while its related research is still in the primary stage and slow compared with the overseas practice, the whole cultivation mechanism based on problem-based learning is still incomplete, such as lack of concrete system for problem-based learning, weakness of college's administration department's support , lack of company's participation and so on. Constructing of college's engineering talent cultivation mechanism based on problem-based learning and improving the cultivation quality of our country's engineering talent are of great strategy importance for improving our comprehensive national strength.After studying related literature, the paper tries to use problem-based learning to construct our country's engineering talent cultivation mechanism and put weight on the use of problem-base learning in talent cultivation pattern and its supporting system. The paper analyse the present status and character of our talent cultivation system, combine the theories about problem-based learning,engineering cultivation and contemporary teaching method, interview the administration officer and then construct the engineering talent cultivation mechanism with reference to related problem-based learning practice at home and abroad.In the mechanism construction part, the paper has built a supporting system to the cultivation mechanism besides the exploring of problem-based learning pattern, which mainly includes college's administration department and collaboration of college and company, and form a comparable exercisable engineering cultivation mechanism.
