What kind of people are cultivated by university and how to cultivate them have always been a realistic and urgent topic which is concerned by the whole higher education circle and even the whole society.With the implementation of the strategy of building an innovation-oriented country,the development of new economic forms characterized by the integration of knowledge and the transformation and upgrading of China's economic structure,it has become an important mission of modern universities to cultivate innovative talents with multiple disciplines,which is also the new trend of university engineering talent training orientation.With the advent of the knowledge society,university disciplines began to "highly differentiated" to "cross-integration";Knowledge production turns from "subject center" to "problem orientation";Talent cultivation from "professional education" to "interdisciplinary education".Based on this,the talent cultivation model of universities needs to be reconstructed in accordance with the requirements of the development of knowledge society in an integrated way of "science-education-reform",so as to cultivate inter-disciplinary innovative talents with interdisciplinary vision,critical thinking and cooperative spirit.The "new engineering" education based on interdisciplinary has become the action leader of higher education reform.By social transformation course theory,the mode of knowledge production ?,engineering education and other multi-disciplinary theory visual Angle,through the historical analysis,literature survey method and the methods of theoretical research focus on "new engineering construction" and "interdisciplinary talents cultivation",two core issues after found in increasingly complex social problems,disciplinary mutual growing,increasingly fusion under the contemporary background of subject knowledge,engineering education in our country should build,which is based on "interdisciplinarity",to "problems" as the guidance,the research of interdisciplinary talents cultivation mechanism.Engineering education in new China has experienced four major historical periods,that is,the reconstruction and development period of engineering education system,the period of radical reform in the "cultural revolution",the period of restoration and rectification,and the period of deepening reform.Engineering education in China has gradually shifted from "professional orientation" to "engineering practice orientation",with the goal of building a "work world" for the growth of engineers.The main obstacles to the interdisciplinary training of engineering talents in China are as follows: the concept level has long been affected by the "emphasis on learning over learning" culture and the traditional teaching concept;In terms of organizational structure,there are obstacles such as "bureaucratic" academic organizational structure hindering the cultivation of interdisciplinary talents,rigid academic organizational goals alienating interdisciplinary research and teaching activities,and "disciplinary cultural barrier" weakening the vitality of interdisciplinary communication and cooperation.In the aspect of personnel training system,there are some problems,such as discipline barrier hinders the flow of teaching elements between disciplines,and specialty system leads to the disconnection between social demand for talent specifications and student development.In terms of personnel training mechanism,there are some problems,such as the personnel management system of "private college",the evaluation system of teachers with specialized knowledge,and the absence of interdisciplinary teacher professional development system.Crossover and integration is the inevitable trend of the reform and development of engineering education in the new century.New engineering education oriented to engineering practice should have three value orientations: first of all,it should break down the barriers between disciplines,promote the cross and integration of disciplines with the concept of "no discipline",and generate new disciplines;The second is to adhere to the "problem oriented" curriculum,training practical talents;The third is to focus on the comprehensive development of students,training disciplines integrated,sound personality of senior composite talents.Its goal is to cultivate excellent engineering talents with interdisciplinary quality and ability to solve complex problems.Combined with the problems existing in the engineering education in our country,new engineering construction need from several aspects: the organizational level should be organized by "isolation" type to "synergy" type organization reengineering,academic organization "rigid management" to "soft" management reengineering,constraint "subject development system to" incentive "subject development system reengineering.In terms of teaching,we should change from "teaching for universality" to "teaching for originality".We should pay attention to students' originality,adopt flexible teaching methods,pay attention to students' practical ability,and build an interdisciplinary comprehensive learning platform.
