Servant principal, one kind of new leadership types, is understood and practiced by more and more people .As one kind of new principals who has bright role-characteristic of a service provider, the servant principal has its unique connotation and characteristic. And his service has various differences from that of the principal who is a traditional control-type, who implements morals leadership .Taking the view from the intermediate perspective, servant principal constructs his own leadership model from three aspects, the value idea, the policy-making way and the mode of administration. Under the idea of the new curriculum reform, the educational goal of the teachers and students' development and the school's essence as the study community, as well as the new curriculum reform's new request which proposed to the school administration, summon the appearance of the servant principal and its response to the new curriculum reform. Under the new curriculum reform, the servant principal has his own management principles and management strategies. Analyzing the present situation of the servant principal's growth, we conclude that servant principal in our country is still in the beginning period. With the existing conditions, the servant principal's growth has certain spaces, but also has many difficulties. In view of these advantaged and disadvantaged conditions, to nurture the servant principal needs to follow certain principles, and to work hard from the four main bodies, the government, the educational department, the society community and the principal himself.
