The research is designed with the purpose of seeking an effective method and approach to cultivating senior high school students'sense of Metacognition through practical experiments with students in Jilin Yuwen Senior High School.The research is expected to promote the procedures of Module Teaching.The research integrates the concept of the formation and training methods of Metacognition, comparing and analysing teaching designs directed by four common learnig theories and characteristics of various teaching models. The four-month experiment witnesses diferent exam results of the students before and after the experiment, which anylyses the different effects that traditional and module methods cast on students .According to the scale designed by the author and the record of interviews with students, the research shows influences of Test Design,Classroom Discussion and Teaching Assessment in the form of Module Teaching. Through one and a half months'teaching of Senior High School Georaphy Textbook II, the research analyses the effects on students'ability of learning how to learn geography cultivated by checking it with pre-learning designs.The result of the research shows that Module Learning can help increase students'scores of exams as well as evaluating the development of metacognition ability compared with traditional methods, so that the students get the methods and measures of learning geography, which offers reference for new teaching, learning and evaluating forms of the new curriculum.
