The reform of the elementary educational curriculum in the rural areas is the emphasis and difficulty in the reform of the elementary educational curriculum in China. Solving the problems arising in the reform of the elementary educational curriculum is the most important in the current education work in China. I will carry out an extensive and deep investigation into the physical education in junior middle schools in the rural areas in Jilin, analyze the questions and their causes which influence the implementation of the new curriculum in junior middle schools in the rural areas in Jilin and furthermore put forward the specific measures to further the reform of the elementary educational curriculum in the rural areas by taking into consideration the reality in the elementary education in rural areas.Through the study of physical education in junior middle schools in the rural areas, students'interests will be expanded and enhanced and students'interests and hobbies will be taken into account more. At the same time, the physical education classes can be closely related with the real life and play the emphasis on the students'independence and creativity. The physical education classes can also be designed to be flexible and of elastic organization and supply the students with information without delay. Teaching is conducted by the teacher and students at the same time, which plays an important part in speeding up the improvement of students'comprehensive qualities and ensuring students'command of basic knowledge, skills and techniques in physical education. This style of teaching will suit the students of different ages better according to the characteristics of development in the students'body and mind and accomplish the goals of physical education at school.Physical education at school in the rural areas is an organic component of physical education in rural areas and it has a direct bearing on the implementation and popularization of physical education in rural areas and the cultivation of the reserve personnel in athletic sports in China, thus influencing the development of sports industry in China. Considering the special basic effects of the physical education in junior middle schools in rural areas on cultivating the lifelong thought on sports of the students in rural areas and further developing social physical education in rural areas, the investigation into the main restrictive factors in the development of physical education in junior middle schools in rural areas is of rather important realistic and practical meaning. In this thesis, various ways such as research into the document materials, logical analysis, interview of the experts and investigation by questionnaire are adopted for a thorough and careful study in the aspect of physical education in junior middle schools in the rural areas in Jilin. I will carry out the research into the physical education in junior middle schools in rural areas from the two aspects of local and national features of Jilin area.
