Teacher occupational pressure has been a focus of education .teacher occupation has been one of the most pressing occupations. Senior teachers, a special group, when facing the college entrance exam system, facing the changes of textbooks, facing the new class standard, may have a variety of origins of pressure and it must be powerful. Does the powerful pressure with varieties of origins really exist? What are the origins? What strategies should we use to cope with pressures? To find the answers to the questions, the writer did some research and talked o lot with the teachers in Jilin No.1 Middle School supported by China Petrol Group Company, in order to know the present situation and the origins of senior teacher occupational pressure. And try hard to find out the effective strategies and at the same time, call for society and schools to take measures to lessen senior teacher occupational pressure.The result of the experiment shows that not only does the senior teacher occupational pressure exist, but also it is attacking the teacher group. There exists a large amount of burn-out among the senior teachers to some degree. This occupational pressure has a terribly bad effect not only on the senior teachers'physical and mental health, occupational attitude and the occupational behaviors, but also on students, school teaching and even the whole society. During the research ,the writer finds out that the four front origins of pressure are"schools and parents pay extra attention to the students'marks","too heavy burdens ( the large amount of work and work extra hours )","what they have done can't be judged and rewarded accordingly and fairly","society set too high a standard for teachers'moral level",while"teachers have not a high position in society"and"the problem on children'education and jobs"are placed on the 5th position. This kind of pressure comes from society, school, families and teachers themselves. Among these factors, the original point lies in society, and the key point lies in schools, but the inside point lies in the teachers.It is impossible to cancel Senior teacher occupational pressure thoroughly nowadays, but it doesn't mean that teachers can only carry the heavy burden on their health and work passively, by analyzing the causes , the writer found out some major strategies .We should set up a society which respects teachers and pay attention to education , and we should build a school atmosphere in which the leaders use people-oriented management, moreover, also we should organize a family which has the same effect as a harbor to lessen the shocks ,what's more ,teachers should use different kinds if strategies such as preventing ,fighting and allocating to avoid or lessen the negative effect of pressure on teachers.
