A study of the identity mechanism is a new area in the research of ideological and political education. Only when being identified by students, the effectiveness of ideology and politics teaching can be developed. Therefore, this thesis holds that the senior high school students' identity with the subject of ideology and politics is the intrinsic logical prerequisite for whether ideology and politics teaching will exert a positive and effective role or not, and to be further, also the one for the degree which it will play an active part.This thesis mainly involves improving the students' identity with ideology and politics teaching, exploiting the functions of ideology and politics teaching and strengthening the effectiveness.The questions to be studied in this dissertation are who is the subject of identity, what is the object to identify with and how will the subject identify with the object.The first part defines the core concepts of identity and the identity of ideology and politics.The second part summarizes the features and how well the high school students identify with ideology and politics teaching based on facts, researches, as well as relevant studies.The third part is to analyze and come up with a conclusion in what is causing the status quo of identity of ideology and politics teaching.In the fourth part, with the purpose of promoting the study of the effectiveness in ideology and politics education, the factors that caused the ideology and politics teaching not being identified by high school students will be pointed out and possible solutions will be suggested.All in all, starting with an analysis of the status quo about the students' identity with politics teaching, the writer makes a positive research by various means. Then the writer comes up with some methods and strategies. By doing so, it is desired that identity with ideology and politics teaching will be promoted, the intrinsic motivation to learn ideology and politics will be developed and effectiveness of ideology and politics teaching can be strengthened.
