The development of the corpus of the students, democracy and individuality in education are put in the first place during the modern education. Students are encouraged to participate in teaching. On their own initiative, make a thorough inquiry happily teachers should train students to take in new knowledge on their own. Teachers focus on training students' independent character and autonomy in their teaching. The thesis finds some problems in the design of Math homework. For example, too much homework, the homework without goals, the homework in the same level. The homework is different from the exercise in Math book. When the teachers are preparing for teaching, they should design the homework carefully. According to the modern educational theory and new course theory, The thesis studies the design on Math homework. It inquires into three modes and three degrees. Traditional homework is designed only by teachers .Every student in different level does the same homework. Teachers design different homework in different levels, students can choose their homework according to their own level and their interest. By designing homework on their own, students can develop their abilities, such as teaching themselves. Students finish their homework in groups. It can help students learn how to get along with others. The degrees are difficulty, capacity and process. The difficulty of homework is that the teachers design homework in suitable level, teachers should let students feel success when students are doing their homework. The capacity of homework is that teachers should design adequate homework. It affects the time used by students and the quality of their homework. The process is arranged according to students' study. Three modes and three degrees are described in the thesis by comparing the traits of different homework modes, the showing of many cases, the data analysis. The aim of the thesis is to create a happy environment for students do their homework. It can excavate students' potency fully, it can amplify the homework's effects, including the using of the knowledge, the training of abilities and the form of the quality. It can make students make full use of time. Students will learn how to study and think. The homework designed well can help students build, confidence, active attitudes, it can arouse students' interest to study. It will develop students' personalities, improve students' all-round fibre.
