Facing the challenge from the new curriculum reform for the senior history teaching, I realize that updating our teaching conceptions and make a change in our teaching approaches and methods has already been a must. I often think about these questions that how can arise students'subjectivity, enthusiasm and participatory, how can develop the ability of explore historic issues and a down-to-earth manner in students, and how can improve their creativity and practical ability, I decide that inquiry teaching pattern is a scientific and effective one to overcome these difficulties through my teaching experience more than ten years and the study of our teachers team.Since 2002, our teachers'team has done a research about the inquiry teaching pattern for nearly six years. Connecting material, questionnaires as well as interviews and observation with real class teaching, I find that this pattern is in favor of improving students'interest and quality in history. At the same time, it encourages students not only to grasp scientific knowledge and methods but to develop scientific manner and spirit in their own way. Because it also can contribute to students'conceptions of exploring, creativity and cooperation, I think it worthy to advocate and promote.Meanwhile, I find that inevitably, whatever teaching pattern has its own inadequacy, so I pay more attention to the of the inquiry teaching pattern, after which we go further to analyze the range and conditions for it in hope of attracting enough concern.In a word, only by providing a spacious and free space can we inspire students to suspect, to express, can we help them develop a sound character, take in wisdom, and strengthen responsibility. In addition, only by doing this can we keep our nation standing among the countries firmly.
