The Geometer's Sketchpad (GSP) has gained its great popularity among the mathematic teachers and is now serving as the best software platform for the Computer Aided Mathematic Instruction (CAMI) in our country, in answering for its coming up in Chinese version, its convenient operation and its powerful functions. Many teachers have tentative experience of using the Geometer's Sketchpad in math teaching , but overall, not much use in teaching. Although there are a lot of effort on the researh of the Geometer's Sketchpad-assisted teaching, there are still some problems not deeply covered or there exists deficiencies.This paper intends to study the impact of The Geometer's Sketchpad assisted teaching on the way of teaching and learning from both the theory and practice perspective. Firstly based on a lot of reading of the relevant documentation, come up with the summaries: the three major topics on the basis of the characteristics of Geometer's Sketchpad, the applicable scope of applying the Geometer's Sketchpad in high school math teaching, the optimization effect of the Geometer's Sketchpad assisted teaching in high school math teaching, the current status and the drawback of the Geometer's Sketchpad assisted teaching, the designing principles, application pattern and strategy of the Geometer's Sketchpad assisted teaching. Two classed are selected to do the comparison, checking the validity of the class design principles, patterns and strategy of the Geometer's Sketchpad assisted teaching., studying how to integrate the new teaching way with the traditional one, achieving the optimum teaching result. Finally, implemented e survey to study the effect of the Geometer's Sketchpad in teaching .The main conclusions: The Geometer's Sketchpad helps the students to cultivate interest in learning, to stimulate the thirst for knowledge, to enhance student's self-awareness , to facilitate the teachers to take the leading role, to improve the overall capability of teachers, to highlight the key points and difficult parts, to improve efficiency and to inject new vitality into the math teaching.The main innovation of this study: This study is based on the high school math classroom, bringing up the three main construction methods of dual-mode teaching that is beneficial to the development of the students, which is in line with the modern educational concepts as well as the current times. By comparison teaching, lesson analysis and survey research carried out in high school mathematics teaching provides theory and practice reference for the Geometer's Sketchpad assisted teaching.
