High school biology teaching should go with the preparation and use of exercises. But at present the lack of a relatively sound exercise resource database is common. According to the requirement of high school biology, this thesis makes some researches on the construction and proper application of dynamic exercise resource database for high school biology. By studying how to build a better dynamic high school exercise resource library which is adapt to the needs of high school biology, the simplest way to select and arrange good exercises in various references and on the network can be available. In this way, teachers can use and improve these exercises when necessary and their burden of selecting exercises can be lessened So as to develop the functions of the exercises to the fullest extend. During the process of making researches on the construction of a dynamic exercise resource database, this thesis also takes the proper use of it into account to meet the need of biology teaching in high school. The researches are mainly made by asking advice from experts, looking for references, experiments, doing surveys in my school.According to the need of textbook and teaching of high school biology, the dynamic exercise resource database is divided into seven sub- resource databases: introduction the application and maintenance, exercises for temporary use, exercises for synchronal use, original resource database, self-made exercises, interactive exercises, problem-solving skills. Introduction the application and maintenance include the structure of the whole exercises resource database, attentions for this resource database and management and maintenance rules. Exercises for temporary use have the exercise resources which are first selected into the main resource database. Exercises for synchronal use gathers synchronal exercises in the textbook of high school biology, but comprehensive exercises are not included. The original resource library contains all exercise except exercises made by myself. Exercises made by myself are specialized collections of exercises made by teachers in my school. The interactive exercise database collects exercises made by multi-media software. Problem-solving skills show some compositions which talks about the skills and experience to solve the high school biology problems. Initially the high school biology dynamic exercise database is built only for teachers and students in my own school. The users are divided into three classes: common users--teachers of other subjects and students; Advanced users—-biology teachers in my school;Administrator—teachers who are in charge of computer in my office and school. Students can surf on school net and use the shared resources. The biology teachers in my school can enter the computer in my office with password and use all resources in the whole database. Biology teachers who are in charge of computer are responsible for the collection and management of resources.Now the basic structure of the dynamic exercises resource library for high school biology has been formed. More resources and materials will continually be collected. Under the management of certain rules, all kinds of complicated exercise will be put into right order to make them easier to be used by both teachers and students. During the process of building a dynamic exercises resource library, the library has already started its application. It can be an aid to teaching by preparing synchronal exercises, topic exercises, and typical exercises. And it will also serve for teaching by making good use of the feedback and emotional education from doing exercises. A series of these applications show that the construction of such a dynamic exercises resource database is a supplement to the present researches on exercise resources in high school because of its fine exercise resources classification and practical management rules. It plays an important role in deepening biology teaching and similar researches. For the limitation of time, further perfection of this dynamic exercises resource library for high school biology and its wider application should be carried out.
