Our country's non-governmental higher education has been restored and developed rapidly since 1980s. After more than twenty years' reform and exploration, non-governmental higher education grows out of nothing and has been following an extraordinary course in its development process from a small to a large force. And now non-governmental higher education has taken shape. The ranks of teachers of the non-governmental vocational colleges are continuously growing and the sources of teachers have been diversified. As the qualified faculty of the non-governmental vocational colleges were far from cultivating the ideas of the construction of teachers and lacked the developing plans and systems of the construction of teachers, these factors caused the construction of the qualified faculty of non-governmental vocational colleges to progress at a slow pace, which has become the obstacle of non-governmental higher schools' further development. This paper explores the new ideas of the construction of teachers in our country's non-governmental vocational colleges, strengthens the construction of the faculty of non-governmental vocational colleges and promotes the aim of a sound development of non-governmental vocational education through the way in which the writer invests and analyzes the conditions of the construction of teachers in his own college and the neighboring non-governmental vocational colleges.The paper firstly looks back to the development of non-governmental vocational colleges, summarizes its development, provides an overview of books and theses which are about researching the construction of the qualified faculty in higher education, elaborates the significance and value of researching the construction of qualified faculty in higher education. The first chapter makes an in-depth study of the higher schools' meaning, nature, future and position, and delimits the concept of non-governmental vocational colleges and sets demarcation of between the concept of full time and part-time teachers of the non-governmental vocational colleges. The paper also surveys the present construction situation of the qualified faculty of non-governmental vocational colleges from the component of the ranks of teachers and the function of the full-time and part-time teachers. The paper also analyses the cause of the existing problems of the construction of the faculty from the aspects of government, society, non-governmental vocational colleges and teachers, at the same time puts forward the ideas and countermeasures of the construction of the qualified faculty of the non-governmental vocational colleges...
