In 2001, the Ministry of Education promulgated the "full-time compulsory education biology curriculum standards", which was implemented in autumn of the same year. Under the guidance of the curriculum standards, Jiangsu Science and Technology Publishing House compiled the textbook of "compulsory education curriculum standards ? biological experiment textbook". Prior to this, in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, the widespread use of biological materials were amended according to the promulgation of "full-time junior middle schools of the nine-year compulsory education curricula" (probation). That is the "nine-year compulsory education three-year junior middle schools ? biological textbook". In this paper, the comparison between two sets of teaching materials is to enable a better understanding of the perpetrators junior high school and junior high school biology curriculum standards in the teaching philosophy of the curriculum, teaching objectives, teaching content, and other differences. It will grasp the spirit of the new curriculum standards better, use new materials for teaching better, avoid wearing new shoes to walk the old road, and make a practical implementation of the new curriculum reform.On the basis of the summarized literature, this paper uses comparative study between "full-time junior middle schools of the nine-year compulsory education curricula" and "full-time compulsory education biology curriculum standards"; between "nine-year compulsory education textbooks ? three-year junior middle schools biological" and the "Compulsory Education curriculum standards textbooks ? biological experiment". It is compared from the knowledge structure, characteristics, the evaluation, management and other areas of teaching materials. The "standard" version of teaching has the following several aspects of the features: It establishes a new textbook knowledge structure; focus on infiltration STS education; reflects the new progress of biological science; strengthens the intuitive knowledge of the content; makes language expression more vivid; strengthens the teaching of the history of discovery; changes the ways of teaching and learning; enhances the penetration of the Bilingual Education; prompts the functions of teaching; changes the evaluation of the methods and materials management.The changes of the teaching materials have brought enormous challenges to both teachers and students. This paper raises a number of strategies on how to effectively implement in teaching curriculum standards:First, mutual understanding, used to win every battle—studying deeply "biological curriculum standards", changing concepts, updating idea and further implementing curriculum objectives; Second, improvement of students' learning style—guiding and organizing students to explosive learning, and gradually integrating it with their study life, becoming a habit of the students; Third, promotion of the integration of the curriculum and life - establishing STS awareness, and creating a new situation for STS education; Forth, development and utilization of curriculum resources, and formation of resource sharing platform; Fifth, the promotion of classroom teaching, and seriously evaluate every aspect of the classroom learning.
