With the development of the quality-oriented education and the development of the new curriculum reformation, the gradual change is happening quietly in original education concept, content of courses and teaching method. And how to flexibly apply modern education theory to guiding teaching practice is a great problem for every educational worker to think deeply about.Construction-theory is one of the education theories that are highly praised at present. It holds the view that knowledge is not the unique and accurate superficial characteristics of objective reality, but a kind of hypothesis explaining the world. It is definitely not the accurate revelation to objective reality. It emphasizes individual understanding of the significance of objective things, and the individual understanding is an active behavior. Individual cognitive development is not the simple accumulation of quality, but is a process of cognition structure's unceasingly recognizing and constructing. Construction-theory emphasizes students as the centre, thinks students are the main body of cognition, and the active constructor's of knowledge significance. And teachers just play the role in helping and promoting students'significance construction, in arousing students'enthusiasm and initiative, and in creating the fine learning environment for students'studying.This thesis has a discussion about the practice of function teaching and a study of problems under the guide of construction-theory in senior middle school, which is divided into six parts. Firstly, combining the characteristics of function and its position and importance in middle school mathematics, the thesis points out the great significance of learning function well, having sought the relevant research materials about function teaching at home and abroad. This is the theoretical beginning of the thesis. Secondly, I give a detail introduction about educational concept of construction-theory. It is the theoretical basis of the thesis. In the third part, making a questionnaire investigation and present an analysis on the result, according to the teaching and learning situation in middle school. In the fourth part, bring forward the principle and tactics in teaching function in middle schools. Such as the view that we should always persist in taking students as the centre, emphasizing the important part of creating the learning"circum-stance", emphasizing"to study in cooperation"and reinforcing the contact between function learning and actual life in function teaching of middle school, and so on. Computer technology has provided great power for teaching function in middle school. And does some explorations and research about this. And connected with construction theory, I design three concrete teaching cases about function, including"function","monotony of function"and"trigonometric function of arbitrary angle". The fifth part, it is about the affection of practice, and have think about function teaching in middle school, under the guiding of construction-theory. In the last part, I summarize the conclusion of the whole thesis.
