Education commission in 21st century of world of UNESCO put forward four major education pillars in the 21st century, they are:"Learn to seek knowledge, learn to do things, learn to exist, learn to conduct oneself". In the era of knowledge-driven economy, illiterate people are not the people who can't read, but the people who can't study. Wanting to master knowledge must have ability of study, must grasp rational, scientific learning styles. School education is the main battle place that teaches students learning method and learning way, but classroom teaching plays an irreplaceable role. Students, who have grasped a set of scientific learning methods during studying in the school, can not only improve learning efficiency, but also be good for the work of society and all one's life in the future. So this article chooses the learning styles of chemistry in the middle school to study, aiming at offering some good information for helping students improve learning efficiency of the chemistry.Based on a collection of documents, referring to the study of learning styles abroad and at home and combining the properties and contents of chemistry, the author makes up two questionnaires named"the questionnaire of learning styles in mid-school chemistry"and"the questionnaire of teachers'teaching styles"and uses the former to investigate 210 junior students and the latter to investigate 35 teachers. Based on the analysis of learning interest, learning course and common learning styles, we know the obvious properties of the chemical learning ways: (1) the passive accepting method is main style (2) adapting to the need of tests is learning aim. Based on the analysis of teachers'questionnaires, we know all teachers emphasize knowledge and ignore abilities. Meanwhile compared different schools, different results and sex, we know teaching method, learning, environment, learning scores and sex have some effects on students'learning styles.According to the results of survey and analysis, the author designs the teaching scheme and puts up with the strategies of improving the learning styles of chemistry in the middle school: 1. through teaching in real environment, raise students'learning interest, 2.emphasize students'double knowledge basis and form the basis of changing students'learning styles, 3. instruct students'various learning styles, 4. evaluate students in many ways. Besides, this article contains some teaching actions, which bring up the chemical learning ways of mid-school students. And we get some good results.In a word, the chemical learning ways of mid-school students are poor. To adapt to the need of time development, teachers must take action from themselves, convert the ideas and think by themselves to be the assistant of students'development.
