Background:The purpose of this study is to develop an approaches toward Learning scale and a norm of certain area on basis of the study of Xu Yan who’s the postgraduate from Shanghai Normal University in 2012.Method:By investigating 294 students from 4 high school of different styles,we have established a formal Approaches Toward Learning in Chenmistry of High School Scale by means of exploitory analysis,confirmatory analysis and regression analysis.On the base of it,we establish a territorial norm of Zhabei,Shanghai.Results:The approaches toward learning of high students in chemistry contain the learning styles,the motivation and the cognition of high students in chemistry.The approaches toward learning styles in chemistry contain 4 factors which are the autonomy, the visuality,the intuition and the synchroneity. The approaches toward motivation in chemistry also contain 4 factors those are the controllability,the selfconfidence,the substantivity and the accessibility. The approaches toward cognition in chemistry contain 3 factors which are the application-of-strategies,the consciousnessof-strategi-es and the framework-of-conception.The regression model of the approaches toward learning has three main factors which are the approaches toward study styles in chemistry,the approaches toward cognition in chemistry and the interaction between the motivation and the cognition.There are some difference of the approaches toward learning styles and motivation in chemistry between the male students and female.The study shows that the score of male students in learning styles are significantly higher than female and the female ones are significantly higher than the male students in the score of the motivation in chemistry. There are also some difference of the approaches toward cognition in chemistry between the students from grade 10 and grade 11. The study shows that the score of students from grade 11 in cognition are significantly higher than those ones in grade 10.Conclusion:Overall,the framework of the Approaches Toward Learning Styles in Chemistry Scale of high school is supported by the evidence from the experience,the theories and the study based on datas.The learning styles and the cognition in chemistry have directly efforts in the approaches toward learning.The motivation in chemistry affect the approaches toward learning in indirect by it’s contribution to the cognition in chemistry.
