Momentum related knowledge in high school include the basic concepts, basic rules and experiment associated with the momentum .This mainly includes two basic concepts—impulse and momentum, the momentum theorem and the conservation law of momentum, as well as some important experiments related . Momentum stems from the classical mechanics and was gradually extended to electromagnetism, optics, Relativistic mechanics,quantum mechanics thus becoming the basic concepts in physics,The same origin and classical mechanics of the law of conservation of momentum was extended to the micro-and macro-system system thus becoming the basic law of physics,in the same,So the teaching of momentum relevantd laws and the concept in high school occupy a very important position and has always been subject to physical educators.This paper have been studied from the following five aspects : One, This paper expounded the formation and development process of the momentum concept and its law from a historical perspective, Two, studying on the teaching and learning about the momentum concept and its law from two asepects , The first is the historical evolution of teaching requirements of the Momentum part of the Syllabus (Curriculum Standards) Promulgated by the Ministry of Education since the reform and opening up ;The second is the knowledge show of the Sets of representative physical textbooks in the momentum part. Three, This paper make a reaserch into the characteristics of the Momentum conception and its law and discriminate the associated knowledge about Momentum; Four, on the momentum related knowledge a reaserch about the teaching and learning was made in two different level schools in Suzhou arear, Analysis the status of teaching and learning in the teaching process and the existing problems, Especially the cognitive impairment and learning difficulties , Five, the guiding strategy was carried out about the momentum related knowledge based on the ideas discussed ,I hope this study could provide the teaching reference to physics teachens in Suzhou and give the way and viewpoint for high school teachers and students to study Momentum related knowledge.
