On Cultivating Key Competencies Of Secondary Vocational School's Students

With the continuous adjustments of social industrial structure and the development of science and technology, the employment structure has also been changing. Secondary vocational education not only must make counterpart adjustments and reform according to the needs of society, but also cultivate the Key competencies of personnels.In our country, secondary vocational education has always aimed at technical and craftsmanship personnel, concentrated on the study of professional knowledge and professional technique, but didn't pay enough attention to the cultivation of Key competencies which influences the student's all-round development and continuous development. The author tries to do some research on the cultivation of Key competencies, providing a solution to curriculum and teaching reform in secondary vocational education. That is, the author tries to construct a teaching strategy that focus on cultivating professional ability and Key competency.The paper is divided into three parts, mainly focusing on the cultivation of student's Key competencies in secondary vocational education.In the first part, the paper analyzes the reasons on the lack of Key competencies cultivation. No enough investment on education, the deviation on the comprehension of ability-oriented thinking, wrong location on the cultivate target, the old curriculum system, all these are the main reasons leading to the lack of Key competencies in secondary vocational education. In the second part, based in the previous study in and around the world, as well as the students' characteristics in secondary vocational education, the paper reasserts the denotation of Key competencies from psychological, professional and social level, at the same time deals with the relationship with professional ability.In the third part, the paper concentrates on the cultivate strategy of Key competencies from six aspects. Nowadays, innovating the executive methods, establishing a assess criteria, locating cultivate target, adjusting professional asset, transformating the model of teaching, reforming teaching methods are all important ways to realize the cultivation of Key competencies in secondary vocational education.In a summary, by doing some researches on how to cultivate Key competencies of students in secondary vocational education, this paper works hard to construct the cultivate strategies of Key competencies from the macro executive level to micro operative level. In order to change the present situation of secondary vocational education, which focuses on theory and knowledge, but not practice and capability, we should make the students of secondary vocational education be the people who have complicates professional ability or generalists.
