Conflicts between preschoolers are one of the most common phenomena in kindergarten, and preschool teachers found that they had some difficulties in dealing with peer conflicts. Following the increasing deepening reformation of preschool education, we attach much importance to the educational value in peer conflicts gradually, and develop a large of studies in peer conflicts include nature, reasons, strategies, results and so on. Peer conflicts are influenced by interrelation of family in a large extent, for example attachment relation between child and mother, the manner of nurturing and so on. Therefore, the aim of this study is to explore how internal working models of attachment between child and mother influence the children's behaviors in peer conflicts, sequentially to table some proposals for preschool education, to improve the spirit environments of preschoolers' living, and ensure their socialization to ongoing steadily.In this study, the participants are 52 preschoolers of two middle-classes in one kindergarten in Shanghai. We assessed internal working models of attachment between child and mother using attachment story completion task, observed peer conflict events of 27 preschoolers in 1st middle-class from Sep 11th to Nov 2nd in a non-participation way, and based on these results, analyzed the influence of the children's internal working models of attachment on their behaviors in peer conflict events, including on the frequency of arousing conflicts, the reasons, the strategies and the results.Our results indicated that:1st It's easier to arouse peer conflict between two children different in the secure of their internal working models of attachment.2nd The secure children are prone to arouse conflicts with insecure peers in learning and living activities, but with secure peers in play activities. Omnipresent, there aren't any distinct differences in the frequency of two kinds of conflict events aroused by insecure children in four kinds of activities.3rd The reasons existed some distinct differences in peer conflicts, especially in objects' using, occupying space, defiance purposely and maintaining rules.4th The children's internal working models of attachment had important influence on their strategies in solving peer conflicts. The proportion of positive strategies used by the secure children is higher than the insecure children, but lower in using neutral strategies and negative strategies, and has some changes because of the different position in conflict events.5th The results of conflicts between the children different in the internal working models of attachment are prone to positive, but between the children same in the internal working models of attachment have no distinct difference in three results.Finally, based on analyzing our results, we provide some pieces of advices for the preschool teachers in bringing up the children different in internal working models of attachment, preventing and managing peer conflicts, and instructing family education.
