The social interacting forms are diversified among preschoolers,and peer conflict is a form of which.To confront this peer conflict the key is to help preschoolers to solve it in a proper way and help them choose appropriate ways to resolve it through personal experience and learning so that they can improve the strategies of peer conflicts and establish a good peer relationship with others.At present,the studies of preschoolers’ peer conflicts are mostly descriptive researches and these studies lack effective intervention study on the strategy of peer conflict resolution.In this study,the author attempts to intervene the conflict of preschoolers with the theme activities of picture books and to explore intervention methods of peer conflicts with effective solutions so that teachers can solve the peer conflict quickly and effectively in the process of practice.This study attempts to intervene in preschoolers’ complaint,compulsory counterattack and evasion by carrying out the theme activities of picture books.In a period of eight weeks when the intervention is involved,the study shows that:(1)the theme activities of picture books enhance the score of the experimental preschoolers in communication and consultation strategies while reduce the score of the experimental preschoolers in asking for help,forcible attacks and escaping strategies.(2)the theme activities of picture books can help the experimental preschoolers well to solve peer conflicts that caused by objects and space or games.In these two conflict situations,the experimental preschoolers are more likely to adopt positive strategies;while if children are confronted with provocation,they still seek for more negative strategies to solve the peer conflict despite the theme activities of picture books.According to the above experimental results,the following suggestions are summarized:(1)the theme activities of picture books can be used to improve the solution strategies when faced with preschoolers’ peer conflict.(2)we can start with social cognition to improve the conflict resolution strategy of preschoolers.(3)kindergarten-family cooperation can help preschoolers to improve the resolution strategies of peer conflicts.
