This paper investigated the migration of Han population into minority residential regions by comparing results from Maoyuan village, Linxia, a primary investigation site, with the general situation of Linxia. The sociological and anthropological methodologies were used in this study. We studied topics, including the reason for the migration, its process and influence, production and living conditions, cultural evolution and relationship of immigrated Han population and native minorities. We found that Han population had prompted the economic development and prospered the host region's culture. In the mean time, original Han's culture has also evolved with the communication among different races. However, this evolution is a gradual process and unlikely to threaten the social stability. This evolution has somewhat helped to improve the racial relationship and promoted acceptance the sense of China as one race. However, we also found the deterioration of ecosystem and the complexity of racial relationships caused by the immigration of Han population.
