Research On The Influence Of The Mass Media On Technical College Students' Political Participation

This study takes the contemporary university student community as the object of study, from the sociology and communication research perspective, takes the political participation theory and the political socialization theory as the support, uses research technique of questionnaire survey and case interview, on the basis of description of the contemporary university students' mass media contact condition and political participation situation, focus on the impact of mass media on technical university students' political participation. The research falls into six parts:Part1 is an introduction, mainly introduced this research's background, the purpose and the significance, and reviewed related research literature .Part2 proposed the specific research design, such as theoretical basis research assumptions, research ideas, research methods and so on.Part3 deals with the mass media contact condition of technical colleges students. The mass media in modern society highlighted the growing importance day after day, influence and even change people's views to the world, social, political and life, and technical colleges student's political participation has complicated contacting with the mass media. And make a description of mass media contact condition of technical colleges students from the medium contact degree, the medium use frequency, the contact duration and the content four aspects.Part4 makes a description of contemporary state of their political participation. On this basis, making a concrete analysis of technical colleges student's politics the sense of participation and the political participation behavior.Part5 makes an analysis of the impact of mass media to technical college students' political participation with the survey result and the influence mechanism from the communication point of qualitative analysis. The mass media makes an important source for technical colleges students to understand that the domestic and foreign important matters, to gain the party and the country's general and specific policies, to study political theoretical knowledge, and gain political information.Part6 makes conclusions on the basis of empirical research and with the consideration of basic conclusions, the author proposes countermeasures about how to enhance the effectiveness of their political participation, in viewing from some elements and ways affecting the students' political participation.
