Ideological and political education to college students is an important way to help college students establish a positive outlook on the world, life and values. Nevertheless, the goal of ideological and to college student is seldom reached in reality. While in the process of ideological and political education in college, educators are always faced with the rebellious mentality of college students, which is one of the difficulties that directly impair the educational effect. To know the real cause of college students'rebellious mentality, take positive measures to prevent and eliminate this phenomenon and improve the effect of ideological and political education is an important subject for us to jointly study.Ideological and political education is an obviously directive educational activity, the nature of which is to turn certain social ideology, political contiousness and morals into the individual ideological quality of college students themselves, to educate, direct and help college students form the ideological and moral quality that society expects. One characteristic of rebellious mentality is to deny outer direction, however, the more important one is to deny the outer direction that they should accept ,or they even intentionally take counter action. For example, thinking negatively of the positive propaganda and approving bad tendencies. This phenomenon not only makes ideological and political education more difficult, but impairs the effect of it. At present, we have made great achievements on ideological and political education in college, but still we have to face the not good effect, especially that the college students' rebellious mentality in ideological and political education severely hiders the development and real effect of ideological and political education.This thesis, in view of college students' rebellious mentality emerging in the process of ideological and political education in college, from the four necessities, namely educator, acceptor, the content and methods of ideological and political education and social environment and the educational propping factors it provides, analyzes the cause of college students' rebellious mentality in ideological and political education, and probes into how to conquer and eliminate the phenomenon of college students' rebellious mentality. The thesis proposes to improve psychological health education and psychological guiding to college students guarantees the foundation of ideological and political education in college solidated. Besides, to ensure the truthfulness of education and propaganda content, constantly improve and create educational methods, raise the comprehensive quality of educators of ideological and political education, and promote ideological and political education into people's mind, is the origin of increasing the attraction of ideological and political education. Furthermore, to enhance the construction of social environment of ideological and political education and build good social atmosphere safeguards the improvement of ideological and political education to college students.
