The phenomenon of occupational burnout of teachers has drawn more and more attention both in China and other countries. It not only leads to the decrease of teaching quality and the coldness among teachers, but also does harm to teachers'physical and mental health as well as the development of their career. With the development of our economy and society, the reforming in education field becomes common and is furthering, which probably makes more teachers have occupational burnout. It is of most importance to analyze the occupational burnout of teachers in less developed western and central part in Chinese because it is indispensable to the development of economy and the construction of a harmonious society. So based on the investigation of middle school teachers in Jianshi, Hubei province and the relative theories, this research analyzes the occupational burnout of the middle school teachers in this area and tries to find out the causes from the perspective of school environment. On the basis of the research above, this research also gives some suggestions to alleviate the occupational burnout of l teachers.The entire research is made up of four chapters as follows:The 1st chapter is about the former research in this field. It presents the relative definitions and the theories of occupational burnout and occupational burnout of teachers. At the same time, this chapter generalizes the research achievements in this field and raises the basic idea of this research accordingly.Chapter 2 mainly analyzes the status of occupational burnout of teachers in this area. The result shows that the teachers in this area do have occupational burnout to some extent, but not serious. Or in another word, some teachers have the trend of occupational burnout. Further research shoes that the depth of occupational burnout is closely related to their sex, age, teaching age, educational background, the grade of their school and the type of their school. By using the SEM model, this chapter analyzes the relationship among the three dimensions of occupational burnout of teachers in this area, which proves that there is a positive relationship among them.The 3rd chapter looks into the influential factors from the perspective of school environment. The result shows that the internal management factors, organizational culture, evaluation mechanism and incentive mechanism are the key variables, which impact the occupational burnout of teachers in this area.Chapter 4 gives some strategies and suggestions according to the research, hoping to contribute to the precaution and alleviation of occupational burnout of teachers in this area.
