Our world is a multivariate world. In this world there are men and women, whites and blacks, but also the yellow people. In the same way, in addition to the heterosexuals, there are homosexuals. But in the main heterosexuals of the world, they are a group of subculture groups which living in the margins of society. Because their sexual orientation, their traditional way of life and the values are different from the mainstream, these people in mainstream society will become incompatible. Their behave is misconceived because of the mainstream culture and moral standards. They are a group which living in the cracks. Especially the gays, they have more responsibility given by the social traditions, and they have been encountered more obstacles. Their status of survival deserves more attention from society. The paper found out the survival status of the gay by interviewing 8 cases and research a lot of literature. Then it summarizes the main they faced such as social predicament, predicament of personality and emotional predicament. It analyzes the cause of these predicaments. In order to help them to go out of these predicaments and let them live a healthy and normal life, I submit some coping strategies related to the facts of law, society and person.The paper expatiates the predicament of the gay and strategies through five parts.The first part is the introduction of this paper. First, it expatiates the social predicament that the gay often encounter according to the interviewing and the literature. Then, it analyzes the reasons that lead to it. It sets forth 3 countermeasures in the last.The paper mainly introduces the predicament of personality and the countermeasures to it in the third part. It expatiates the kind of the predicament of personality that the gay often meet first. Then it gives some reasons to it. It also gives some suggest to help them go out of the countermeasure.In the forth part it mainly expatiates the emotional predicament and the countermeasures to the predicament.
