The unity of tool and humanity was defined for the the new curriculum standard of high school language curriculum nature.This provision emphasizes the high school language courses not only to improve students' Chinese accomplishment in an all-round way,but also to give full play to the educational function of the course objectives.But in the elective textbook<Appreciation Of Foreign Novels>teaching,my colleagues and I found that most students cannot choose to grasp the text theme.It is difficult to achieve the education goal of the Chinese curriculum.In order to solve this problem,it is introduced the method of ethical literary criticism,to analyses appreciation in six story of textbook<Chinese Elective Foreign Novels Appreciation>,the characters in the search for novel make different Ethical selection,character analysis,ethical selection process and results to explore the works of ethics education value,the student in the classroom can get a deep understanding of theme of the works and obtain the moral teachings and warning,that maximize play the educational function of Chinese curriculum,Chinese course to achieve training objectives.Ethical literary criticism define literature as moral from the origin,the basic function of literature is educational function,The fundamental purpose of literature is to provide a moral paradigm for human beings to understand the society and the life from the ethical point of view,to provide moral warning for the material life and spiritual life of mankind,and to provide moral experience for human self perfection.The Ethical selection of characters is the core component of literary works,they will inevitably fall into the Ethical predicament as long as there are characters in literary works.In literary works,it must be two or more than two choices if it is a choice,that will inevitably increase the complexity of choice,resulting in the different results of the selection,the complexity of the Ethical selection and the different results are often endowed with extraordinary artistic charm of literary works,to provide readers with rich moral enlightenment.According to the different motives of the characters to make Ethical selections,this paper divides the six novels into three groups.they are<Su Ba>and<Samurai And Gourd>,<On the bridge>and<On Tuesday Takes A Nap The Time>,<Livestock Forest>and<Old Man At The Bridge>.We analyze the reasons for the formation of Ethical predicaments in each set of novels,and explore the Ethical selections and motivations of the characters in Ethical predicaments,as well as the outcome of the Ethical selections.to reveal the value of the ethics education of the novel works,that can not only provide students with moral education and enlightenment,but also to provide some advice for the teaching of the course.
