The Research On "Learned Helplessness" Of Mathematics Learning With Students In Primary Schools

"Learned helplessness" was first discovered on studying animal behavior and verified on human by Seligman.This phenomenon refers to the psychological state and behavior that person suffering a series of frustration and failure don't know what to do about the problem and lose confidence.This phenomenon can be attributed to exter- nal factors, but inner factor of student himself are more important. The phe- nomenon, as far as students are concerned, can cause defect of motive,cognition and emotion,thus causing a bad effect in their development. So,this paper is mainly taken the high-grade primary students as the researching objectivies who has learned helplessness in maths learning and analyzes and discusses the internal and external causes of learned helplessness in the math teaching and put forward three measures of measures to help students reduce learned helplessness.
