The paper begins with the concept of self-consciousness and brings forward the question of the development and improvement of college students'self-consciousness, pointing out the rules and features of its process and further giving a conclusion of a number of issues in the research of college students'self-consciousness. In the first part, the paper tells the general problems of self-consciousness, which lays a theoretical basis for later discussion. It also focuses on connotation of self-consciousness. It tells that self-consciousness is formed and developed in the process of social practice. It is the subjective reflect of states of one's body and mind, activities and the relationship between the inside and outside world, as well as causes emotional experience and behavior tendency. Self-consciousness is the core of the personality, is a high-level comprehensive psychological system, regulating one's psychology and behaviors. Part II, Part III and Part IV, the center of the paper, they respectively discuss several key issues in the development process of college students'self-consciousness. Part II mainly tells the features of college students'self- consciousness from the point of view of self-awareness, self-control and self-experience and significantly discusses the rule of derivation and unification and the factors affecting its development. Part III points out several issues of College students'self-consciousness, which is also the key of the paper. Part Iv mainly talks about the improvement ways of ego consciousness for the college students, expecting these ways can give some enlightenment for college students'psychological education. To some extent, the research of college students'self-consciousness is not only a mental perspective of theoretical study for any psychologist, also the core field of personality education.
