Under the situation of increasingly fierce international completion in the 21st century, every country has set the educational reform as the key factor in the course of development of the courtiers' modernization. In July, 1999, the State Council had promulgated "the Decisions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Deepening Educational Reform and PromotingQuality- Oriented Education in a Comprehensive Way", proposing that the present curriculum system and structure should be adjusted and reformed, and a new elementary education system shall be set up. In June, 2001, "the Decisions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on the Reform and Development of Elementary Education" had further clarified the tasks of speeding up the construction of elementary education and curriculum system which met the requirements of quality-oriented education, in July, the Program for Elementary Educational Reform (Trail) was formally promulgated and came into force. To achieve the desired result, it is important to improve the competence and quality of teachers, for teachers are the key persons in the teaching process in schools at all levels, as well as the main force in the educational reform through all educational channels. As the basic element in the teaching activities, the performance of teaching skills will directly affect the nature of the teaching activities and the quality of students cultivated. The implement of the reformed elementary education and curriculum system will greatly change the teaching skills of the teachers. In the context of new curriculum, and in light of the present situation - teachers in our country mainly graduate from normal schools, and the requirements for teachers are progressively higher, it must be done without delay to reform and adjust the objects and means of cultivating normal students with a clear aim. This article, mainly deals with the teaching skills and teaching structures of Chinese teachers, and the influential factors to the development of teaching skills, as well as the channels of improving teaching skills to meet the new teaching style under the context of curriculum reform. The investigator adopts documentary analysis and research study to investigate the objects with the Chinese major undergraduates of 2004 in Yibin University as subject. This article illustrates the main background of study and results and current situations of relevant study as a start. It is thought that the theory of teacher professional development and the new curriculum reform are the key fundamental theories and backgrounds to the study and development of the teaching skills of current normal students. The new curriculum reform, which reflects the characteristic of the age, brings a magnificent change to teaching, and profoundly affects the structure of teaching skills, and endows it with a new connotation. This article studies the channels and influential factor of the development of teaching skills of Chinese teachers from the aspect of the cultivating way of normal students. From a relatively systematic analysis of relevant documents, this article roughly generalizes the might-be channels of the development of teaching skills into the study of professional theory, reading of professional 1 periodicals and books, the communication and cooperation with tutor and classmates, probation and internships, teaching experiences and self-examination, ect.The investigator, though questionnaire survey and interview, has formed a clear view of the understanding and knowledge of normal students on teaching skills, and has come to some conclusions from the processing and analyzing of relevant data. Firstly, the awareness of the role of teacher decides the motives of the normal students in mastering teaching skills; secondly, in the process of the curriculum reform, the cultivating strategies of higher pedagogical education shall be transformed to meet the requirements of curriculum reform; thirdly, the development channels of teaching skills of the normal students includes school education, educational probation and internship, self-study and self-examination.Based on theoretical study and investigation, the investigator proposes that the cultivation and development of teaching skills of normal students (Chinese Major) is a systematic project, it needs joint efforts from all the participators and executants. That is schools shall guarantee a macro-power for the development of normal students from policies and systems; the teaching skills training centers (institutes) should play a fundamental role in the development of training qualities; the level of guidance of advisers shall be improved; the normal students shall individually excavate their own development drives to realize self-development.
