| As for health information, a large number of related studies have been conducted abroad and in Taiwan. Many research achievements have been obtained with regard to health information requirements, access to health information, and the evaluation and utilization of health information. However, the research on the health information behavior in our country did not receive its deserved attention. In fact, studies on health information behavior in our country have been insufficient for a long time.University teachers are taken for the first time as subjects in the present study, which explores the health information behavior of university teachers by applying the user information theory and by means of quantitative analysis of the literature, the questionnaire and the interviews. Studies show that the sense of university teachers about health information is universally weak, their need of health information varies and their channels to obtain information are different, but they have certain obstacles in acquiring and utilizing health information. On this basis, the thesis has made discussions on the characteristics, assessment criteria, factors of influence, and the differences concerning health information behaviors.In the end, the thesis has presented according to the researches some proposals on how universities and related medical information services should pay attention to university teachers'health information requirements, provide them with relevant health information service, how governmental departments should strengthen the evaluation and management of the health information on the network, and how to develop and improve the health information service on the network. It is intended to provide useful reference to the intellectuals'health protection policies which are to be introduced in the near future, as well as the development and improvement of medical service system of the health information network. |
