On The Social Service Of Chinese Universities And Colleges

Today the knowledge economy is forming up ,the development of society is more and more depending on knowledge and technology innovation ,which makes higher education overall and strategic status in the building of modernization.As the main institutions carry out higher education,Universities and colleges will not only make contribution to developing knowledge and raising personnel ,but also make direct contribution to social development.This is the mission for universities and colleges and is also depended by our country conditions.In the paper I am trying to give a systemic research on social service of universities and colleges ,and my paper is divided into five parts as followings.The first part is an introduction to the paper.It not only tells the background and significance of the research,but also tells you the earlier study on the topic .I will introduce my train of thought and research methods and define some important concepts of the paper in the first part too.In the second part I address myself on the meaning of social service of universities and colleges and put much emphasis on how it works,and I will also give a review to the evolvement of social service function of the world and of China.The third part is about the theory of social service of universities and colleges.The necessity and feasibility of social service of universities and colleges will be discussed in this part.The fourth part is the review to the practice of social service of universities and colleges.In order to better serve our country ,I sum up some experience and lessons of past practice of social service of universities and colleges.The fifth part is about examples of social service of universities and colleges.In the practice of social service of universities and colleges,Peking and Zhejiang universities set us a good example.
