College Ideological and Political Theory Course is the main channel and major position of ideological and political education for university students. The teachers not only have a heavy responsibility to educate university students with Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the "Three Represents" important thought and arm them with the scientific world outlook, outlook on life and values, but also shoulder with an important historic mission, that is , to cultivate university students to become qualified builders and successor of the socialist cause.In recent years, with a series of relevant policies and regulations formulated and promulgated by the party and the country, the teachers'quality of college ideological and political theory course has been greatly enhanced. Generally speaking, this is a troop with high political quality and strong professional ability, but there are still some insufficiencies. Under the new situation, the further deepening of China's reform and opening up and the transformation of society, the diversification of ideas and concepts and the diversion of value judgment criteria have had the significant impact to the college student world outlook, the outlook on life and the values formation. The teachers must keep up with the pace of the times, understand the new situation and grasp the new features. Meanwhile, they must optimize and enhance their own quality continually in the practice of teaching and research, in order to accomplish their mission better.This paper discusses the problem that The Teachers'Quality Optimization of College Ideological and Political Theory Course from four parts. The first part mainly includes raising issues, research status quo, contents and methods. The second part mostly analyses its basic connotation and structure. The third part dissects its main problems and causes. The fourth part proposes the main ways of the teachers'quality optimization from three different levels and angles of the government, universities and teachers themselves. This is the destination and the end result of this paper as well.
