Under the oppression of feudalism, imperialism and bureaucratic capitalism, Chinese lived hard life in the early 20th century. The miserable actuality and crisis had made all of country educationists to concern and deeply think. They tried to establish a suitable education system for China's rural, and hoped that the system will different from the modern education model, as the center of the city, from western country. This campaign had rectified a lot of deficiency at areas of traditional rural education. They suggested that various solution and got a big achievement in experiment area. Their common goal was achieving the rejuvenation of China, via educational reform. Liang Shuming village education theory was that in such a backdrop, focused on Chinese traditional culture of Eternal Flame Legend, focused on the spirit of the roots of Western civilization developing, in the exploration and practice on the basis of the formation and developments. As an educator, his basic viewpoints and his "Oriental culture to save the country", "Rural construction" theory were compatible with complementary and formed a rather unique rural education thinking.Liang Shuming rural education had a particular historical background and theoretical sources, and China's politics and economy had been depressed, culture confusions, precarious. Liang Shuming's thinking of rural education contained the traditional Chinese culture, the Western ideology and its own unique life experiences. Thus it was formed the thinking of rural education.Liang Shuming village ideological education has rich content, which contains the target of village education, organization, means of implementation, the content of education, and other aspects of a comprehensive exposition, the main contents are as follows: rural education that is rural construction, education target is the entire population; rural education is aimed at rural transformation and construction; to seek a rational organization, starting from the village with the implementation of rural education is the principle of the village; town school,rural school and village school are the major way. The characteristics are school education and social integration of education, farmers and intellectuals integration of education, person and sociality integration, political and education combined, and so on.Liang Shuming thinking of rural education has important historical values. It promoted the rural education development, and advanced the comprehensive quality of farmers, and increased extensive rural economic development. At the same time, Liang Shuming rural education thinking of a new socialist countryside construction has important inspiration. In nowadays, building a socialist new countryside should be transforming the theory of rural education, taking rural education as a new important task for rural construction, updating rural education ideas, training new farmers as the starting point of education in rural areas, remodeling rural education system, and vigorously develop rural adult education. With basing on the Farmers, Rural Areas, Agriculture Production, intellectuals going to countryside, it will establish and improve agricultural higher education system, reform rural education and realize construction of villages.
