A Study Of University Culture Construction In View Of Scientific Outlook On Development

University culture refers to the combination of mental and substantial achievement, philosophy, mentality, academy, regulation, for instance, which are deposited over the long history of a university after foundation. University culture as the source of vitality, cohesion and inspiration consists of four aspects: psychological, institutional, physical and behavioral. With the modernization of advanced education, the research on university culture acquires remarkable significance for either university per se or for national civilization and traditional culture.This paper is a research on the Chinese university culture in view of scientific outlook on development, starting by combing through the history of modern Chinese universities, analyzing the structure, feature and function of university culture, depicting the role of university culture in the advanced culture of modern China, and ending by filing some suggestions as to the construction of Chinese characteristic university culture. All this is conducted under the principle of epistemology and theory of knowledge value. Methodologically, this research is the combination of history and logics, scientific spirit and modern spirit. Systematology, comparison, documentation, field investigation are also adopted in the research to broaden the vision.This research is supposed to conduce to the Chinese characteristic university culture by providing persuasive theoretical references. Hence the theoretical and practical significance of the present paper.
