On The University Campus Cultural Construction Under The Scientific Outlook Development View

There is no doubt that Chinese universities have been getting unprecedenteddevelopment these years under the background of dramatic development of oursociety and economy, and of facing the coming of globalization. However, like thereare two sides of a coin, some issues have arisen from such development, as follows:universities pay more attention on construction of infrastructures other than ondevelopment of individuals; some universities’ achievement were isolated from socialservice; and it is very difficult for universities to harmonize all the aspects ofdevelopment. This thesis found that the key method to solve such problems above isto combine the campus culture, scientific researching with personnel training, throughthe analysis of such issues and the discovery when comparing cases of successfulforeign universities.This thesis can be divided into five sections, which explores the issues of theconstruction of Chinese universities’ campus culture. The first section introduces thebackground, the significance, the idea and the researching methods of this thesis; thesecond section explicates the campus culture and the problems of university campuscultural construction as well as cause analysis, which contains the concept ofcampus culture, the analysis and restatement of the knowledge of campus culture, andanalyzes the issues of construction of campus culture in China and the reasons tobeget such issues; the third section according to comparing Chinese and foreignuniversities’ situation on construction of campus culture, Summarizes thecharacteristics and changes of university campus culture; the fourth sectiondiscovers the missions and developing trend of construction of campus culture in newera, and describes the visualization of campus culture under the view of scientificoutlook on development, according to the researching of universities’ functionalchange; the last section explores the principles and ways to build campus culture fromthe view of scientific outlook on development. The aims of applying the scientificoutlook on development to the construction of campus culture, is to reach the goal ofsustainable development for university, is to, following the principle of “peopleoriented”, solve the problem of to build what kind of university, of how to build auniversity, of to train what kind of person, and of how to train a person, using themethod of taking into consideration in the interests of all concerned. Only doing this,our universities could develop themselves based on their respective conditions, and make contributions to the development and the prosperity of socialistic culture underthe era abounding of opportunities and challenges.
