Scientific inquiry activity is an important access to train students' ability and improve their quality of science.In the current teaching of biology in junior high school,there is an status of belittling of teaching process and capacity-building of students.The paper has been completed by several methods,such as the reading of relative document,the questionnaire, interviews with teachers etc.In the first section,the background of the paper has been described,which contain the status of scientific inquiry activities of the biology in some junior high school of the city.In Partâ…¡,some relative theories are described.In the third one, the implementation of promoting the students' development by inquiry learning whose main content is the scientific inquiry activity has been described detail.And according to her own experience in teaching practice,the author clearly put forward some schemes about the development of the course of scientific inquiry activities,the short-term training strategy,the teaching case of scientific inquiry activities for various stages,and an evaluation scheme of learning of students.In last section,some conclusions have been made:1.The scientific inquiry activities can improve students' achievement2.The scientific inquiry activities can improve students' scientific inquiry capacity3.The scientific inquiry activities can increased the interest in learning,and improve the attitude in learning.4.The scientific inquiry activities can lead to a sense of achievement in learning.
