With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,the ministry of education,PRC issued the biology curriculum standards for ordinary high schools(2017 edition)in 2017,which replaced the biology curriculum standards for ordinary high schools(experimental draft).At the same time,high school biology textbooks have been revised from the experimental version to the new version.The curriculum standard of the 2017 edition emphasizes the important value of inquiry-based learning in the process of implementing the core quality of the subject.The scientific inquiry activity in high school biology textbooks is an important carrier for teachers to organize students to carry out inquiry activities and students to carry out inquiry learning.Active learning characterized by inquiry can help students establish scientific concepts,understand the nature of science,and is an important way to implement the core quality of the discipline.In this paper,the author takes the scientific inquiry activities in the modules of molecule and cell and heredity and evolution,the new and old versions of the required high school biology textbooks,the methods of bibliometric analysis,data statistics and comparative study were used for comparative analysis.Firstly,the author compares the writing basis and overall arrangement structure of the two edition textbooks,and thencompares and analyzes the scientific inquiry activities in the two edition textbooks from the way of presentation,type,content selection and openness.Finally,based on the comparative analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The two editions of textbooks have a large number of scientific inquiry activities,both of which attach importance to the development of scientific inquiry activities;(2)The compilation of textbooks in 2019 pays more attention to aesthetics,science and rigor;(3)The activity types of the two editions of textbooks are the same,including communication,experiment and investigation,The content of the textbook focuses on fewer but better;(4)Both editions attach importance to the presentation of the history of biological science,while the scientific inquiry activities of the 2019 edition pay more attention to students' understanding of the nature of science;(5))The 2019 edition textbook scientific inquiry activity context pays more attention to authenticity,coherence and timeliness;(6)The 2019 edition of the textbook has a higher degree of openness in scientific inquiry activities,attaches importance to students' autonomy,scientific thinking training and improvement of scientific inquiry ability.In view of the remarkable changes of scientific inquiry in the new edition of teaching materials,the corresponding teaching Suggestions are put forward.
