Tennis is a very attractive and elegance sport, she has considerable popularity and influence, the popular all over the world, known as the world's second-largest ball games. Along with the reform and opening-up, economic rapid development, people's living standards improved.Tennis is more and more popular. With the tennis extensive, our tennis'leve also made great progress, but we must objectively recognize our tennis is still have a large gap from the world advanced level ,especially in serve.In contemporary tennis, quality of serve plays an important role in match, The traditional view was that success rate is the decisive factor of quality of serve, modern theory argues that blindly seek success rate without changes placement is not threatening and tactics, so in the daily serve trainning should pay attention to the practice of hitting fixed point and improve serve success rate, but only take the technical training, in contemporary tennis is far from enough, should also pay attention to the psychological training. training athletes with a good sport-confidence, could conduce to the competitive ability bring into play and get good performance. In this study, with the theory of setting goals-goal setting training is one of the important methods psychological training. Trained tennis players with goal setting training teaching experiment, and aimed at improving the success rate and hit rate of tennis player serve through a certain time different difficulty goal setting training to hit rate and improve the players'sports self-confidence. Discuss which difficulty is the most effective to improve the serve success rate and the hit rate. Also discuss which the goal setting training affects self-confidence from several aspects, to provide the training method and basis for coaches and athletes . During in the process of the researching is mainly used documentation method, experimental teaching method, questionnaire and mathematical statistics method.The teaching experiment began with 2008 September 1 and lasted until six weeks. The subjects is the age of 16 years old tennis player, randomized grouping by experimental group and control group. Tested experimental group for tennis goal setting teaching experiment, goal setting is divided into three difficulty, the control group used the traditional training methods. Tested two groups serve grades before the experiment, after two weeks, after four weeks and after six weeks. Before and after the teaching experiment requested two groups players filled up three questionnaires. Analyzed the obtained data by SPSS13.0 and discussed.Research results show1,After training goal setting with different difficulty the tennis player in medium difficulty got of the highest success rate and hit rate, that is a appropriate power for serve, medium difficulty goal setting is better than two other difficulty goal setting ,that can be more effectively improve the success rate and hit rate.2,After the training goal setting and experimental the success rate and hit rate of athletes serve have been improved greatly, and the process is followed the Sports skill form rule.3,After the training goal setting and experimental for athletes, is not significant influence in idiosyncrasy sport-confidence but highly significant influence in state sport-confidence .Goal setting training can improve the athlete in technology, physical and mental preparation, leadership and former experience dimensions of the sport-confidence source. After the experiment control group athletes'alternative experiences dimension of sport-confidence sources have increased significantly.
