The aesthetic education in higher vocational college involves many aspects of psychological quality, including emotion, personality, sentiment, volition, imagination and creation, and so on. As to the visual impression and emotional experience of the students in higher vocational college, it takes relative free methods and finishes the education imperceptibly and happily. Its tasks are to cultivate the students'aesthetic sense and aesthetic standpoints and improve the students'aesthetic creativity, so as to shape aesthetic realm of life and cultivate the higher technical applied talents who are of innovative quality. But undeniably, the aesthetic education is still the weak link in the whole higher vocational education. The problems in its improvement hampered the promotion of quality education seriously. So, promoting the aesthetic education in higher vocational college to rightful place, discussing actively the role, significance and means of implementation of the aesthetic education, are of important theoretical and practical significance so as to improve the quality of the talents in higher vocational college. Its theoretical significance is that strengthening the aesthetic education research can expand the research vision of the quality education in the humanities in higher vocational college and enrich its content continuously. Its practical significance is that strengthening the aesthetic education research has reference significance to the education departments which are in charge of establishing the aesthetic education policies and regulations of higher vocational college. At the same time, strengthening the aesthetic education research can help the aesthetic education to work better.The article can be divided into four parts:The first part is the concepts definition of the aesthetic education in higher vocational college. This part defines several concepts referring to the aesthetic education in higher vocational college in turn. Including that: beauty is the crystallization of human social practice and the objective social value of the things; aesthetic is the people's subjective mental activities to the object and the people's observation on some attributions to the objective things to obtain various psychological pleasure activities; aesthetic values refers that people grasp the aesthetic value to the objective things and the phenomenon and it showed people's judgment, evaluation and activity tendency from the point of the aesthetic; aesthetic education is to educate the educated, cultivate their aesthetic appreciation, aesthetic behavior and aesthetic creation quality through all kinds of aesthetic activities, such as social beauty, natural beauty and art beauty. And its essence is life education and mental education. The aesthetic education in higher vocational college is to train the students to feel the beauty, understand the beauty, appreciate the beauty, pursue the beauty and crate the beauty through learning the basic knowledge and skill of the aesthetics so as to cultivate the higher-technology applications Talents.The second part is the importance to create the aesthetic education in higher vocational college. This part mainly discusses the importance of strengthening the aesthetic education in higher vocational college from shaping the perfect personality of the students, cultivating the creational talents in higher vocational college and the advanced effects to moral and intellect education of the higher vocational collegeThe third part is about the problems and causes about the aesthetic education in higher vocational college. The problems mainly including: not enough attention; unperfected curriculum system; lacking the educational methods and evaluation system; the lower aesthetic quality of the educated and the wearer teachers. And analyze the problems'roots from the trend of popular culture, conventional practical theory, education pattern and the students'characteristics.The last part is about the principals and methods of the aesthetic education in higher vocational college. This part is the core and emphases of the article. This part puts forward the principals and methods of the aesthetic education in higher vocational college in the context of humanistic education on the basis of the previous parts. The implementation of the principles including: experience principle, intercommunication principle and individuation principle. The implementation methods mainly including: changing the ideas and concepts, constructing the management mechanism, specifying the training goal, setting up a scientific and rational course system, grasping the characteristics of the times and enriching the aesthetic education methods, strengthening the teachers'construction and improving their operational capacity, strengthening school's leadership and expanding the area of aesthetic education, innovating evaluation system and implementing the guidance evaluation.
