Since Montessori's pre-school educational idea was introduced into China in the early 20th century, it has been attracting the attentions of Chinese educational scholars.According to the collected materials, although it is more than one hundred years since the introduction of Montessori's theory, domestic studies about it focused just only on the introduction of her life, educational idea and method, and realia. In the 1990s, although her theory was developed by some scholars to some extend, those developments centered mainly on the problems of localization and application of Montessori's pre-school education. As a result, people haven't yet made a detailed and deep research about the course and influences of introduction of Montessori's pre-school education to China. Consequently, most people have a very vague idea about the introduction and influences of Montessori's pre-school education, which badly influenced the level of understanding about Montessori's theory. Based on this fact, author puts forward this subject research in the thesis in the hoping that by means of studying this subject, the attentions of more scholars can be drawn to solve the problem.At the same time, by integrating all scholars' research achievements and combining the research of history materials, author makes a very clear explanation about the influences of Montessori's pre-school educational idea in China. Based on this, author also makes a superficial research about the introduction of Montessori's theory. The purpose of this thesis is to offer up an overall understanding about the introduction and influences of Montessori's pre-school educational idea in China. At the same time, this thesis also attempts to provide abundant history materials for the people who are studying the Montessori's pre-school educational ideaIn order to achieve the purpose of this thesis, this thesis is dived into four parts.Part 1 is mainly about the analysis of the causes of introduction of Montessori's pre-school educational idea to China. The causes consist of the social changes, the need for educational reform, and the promotional function provided by Montessori's educational movement in foreign countries.PartⅡis mainly about the one hundred years' course of the introduction of Montessori's idea, which is divided into four stages: first stage (1913—1949), second stage (1950—1977), third stage (1978—1989) and forth stage (1990—present). In this part, author also sums up the Status in quo , main contents , approaches and Characteristics of introduction in each stage. Based on this, author draws the outline of the course of introduction of Montessori's theory to China.In PartⅢ, author investigates and sum up the influences of Montessori's pre-school educational idea in China. The active influences includes: it changes people's view of education; provides some quotable models for China's pre-school educational reform; promotes the course of China's pre-school educational practice. The negative influences includes: it causes the blind imitation in pre-school educational field; leads to aggravation of people's desire of running a school.In PartⅣ, author makes some very superficial reflections about the problem existed in the process of introduction of Montessori's pre-school educational idea in China. Then author puts forward some historical revelations of introduction of Montessori's idea to China: introduction should develop the useful and discard the useless rather than repot and simulate; should develop in the directions of scope and depth; should be combined with the local culture; should grasp the essentials rather than form...
