With the quickening pace of the modernization drive in China beginning in the early 1980s, the massive rural labor force has been 9 years of compulsory education into the cities, thus creating a new disadvantaged group—"Stay-at-home Children". It is the incumbent obligation of every citizen to show concern for the problem of "Stay-at-home Children". Since the policy of reform and opening, waves of rural laborers in Anshun development zone have left for the opening coastal cities. Inhabited by various ethnic groups, Anshun City Development Zone is a typical area with a heavy concentration of minority nationalities. There exist special characteristics for "Stay-at-home Children" in this area, so it is of special significance to conduct an investigation into "Stay-at-home Children" of this area. By the time I embarked upon this research, no one else had ever before conducted in-depth investigation and research into the phenomenon of "Stay-at-home Children" in this area. The government and educational departments of the development zone are troubled by lack of adequate understanding of the situations of "Stay-at-home Children" in the area, which has posed an obstacle for the government to make education policies because it does not have an investigation material concerning "Stay-at-home Children" within the area. For this reason, this research project aims at filling up this vacancy with its investigation. At the same time the results of the project may provide reference for local government in making educational policies, and in this way I may make a little contribution to the education in my home town.This project collects materials mainly by means of questionnaires, literature consulting and in-depth interviews.After analyzing the influence of family of stay-at-home children: the influence of family of stay-at-home children, the influence of school and the influence of stay-at-home children, I put forward the suggestion which to resolve stay-at-home children education problem. Stay-at-home children must study with his (her) parents, Cry off the transient fee of stay-at-home children. Reform household registry and school roll system.
