The study subject of this dissertation is part of Chongqing Soft Science Project (CSTC2007CE9073), which is sponsored by Social and Humanistic Science Key Project of Chongqing Education Committee (Chongqing Education Committee Publicizing [2007] NO.5) and Youth Social Science Fund Project of Chongqing University (CDSK 2007-06).The education of Master of Engineering is a new type of master education mode in China. With the rapid development in recent ten years, it has become a degree type that has the largest scale and covers the widest subjects and fields in graduate students'education. It can be seen that MEng education has enriched the cultivation of graduates and the type of degrees, renewed the education concept of universities, met the needs of society longing for talents with high level, realized close cooperation of universities and enterprises and met the demand of China's strategic aim—to be an innovative nation. Due to differences in nature and operational mechanisms, universities and enterprises have different ideas towards MEng education concept of, cooperative aims, and so on. To solve these problems, MEng education needs to be continuously explored during the cultivation and practice. Therefore, the combination of education and business can really benefit from MEng education, which can encourage the enterprises to participate in and support education, accelerate the transform and using of scientific achievements and make universities, enterprises and nation benefit from this new graduate cultivating mode.On the basis of relevant studies domestic and abroad, people concerning MEng education in fifteen universities and twenty-one enterprises have been interviewed and questionnaires have been distributed and analyzed. After factor analysis of investigating results, five main factors which have influences on cooperative cultivation of MEng have been proposed in this dissertation: cooperative wills, cultivating conditions, cooperative plan, process management and government's domination. Cooperative cultivation of MEng has been analyzed by relevant theory of cooperation, system and cooperative mechanisms, especially about cooperative preparation, cultivation implement and the function of key factors on systematic effect mechanism in different developing phases. The effect mode about university-enterprise cooperative cultivation of MEng has been established and the key factors of cooperative system have been nailed down. Because the inner and outer factors have different effects on system, the developing mechanisms of university-enterprise cooperative cultivation of MEng are divided into two parts--inner and outer mechanisms and the cooperative effects of key factors have been analyzed and studied.Take cooperative cultivation of Chonqing University and Chongqing Chana Automobile Group Co., Ltd for example, the application and effect of systematically cooperative cultivation of MEng have been weightily analyzed at the end of the dissertation. This dissertation has theoretical and practical value in promoting the study of universities'educational theories and innovative system of enterprises'talents cultivation, putting the strategy—education serving socialism modernization into effect, and improving the ability of universities to cultivate talents, create knowledge and serve society.
