In recent years, our country are making great efforts to promote community buildin -g in the contemporary construction of a harmonious society, the promotion of communi -ty development is very important practical significance. The inhabitant participate, as an important component of the community building is the issue to discuss and research. How to solve the current problems of residents in the inhabitant participate, has become the top priority in the promotion of community development.This paper classified the residents of the community to different types in different standards. On the basis of the investigation, the paper analyzed the commonalities and differences of different types of residents in the community involvement. The mainly commons: no matter what kind of residents are most to participate by organizations; participation in the will, more is to mobilize the participation of involvement; in the channel, mostly through participation in community activities; in the participation rate, the overall are relatively low in satisfaction; the overall satisfaction is not high. The major differences: different types of residents in the content of the participation in the performance have different preferences; participation in the force is also different; in degree of participation, different types of residents are different. In addition, different types of residents in the forms of participation, participation will and participate in channels, and the participation satisfaction rate also show some differences. On the basis of analysis similarities and differences,this paper promoted the proposal to promote the community residents to participate: First, cultivate awareness of community residents. To raise community awareness of residents to participate in community residents is the key to improve the level of participation and the participation rate. Community residents only really become active from a passive, they will to be effective participation in community affairs; the second is to enhance community participation in all types of residents synergies. For different types of residents to participate in the difference, as far as possible should encourage and support different types of residents to participate in community affairs, especially in a targeted manner to resolve the residents involved in the weak link; Third, innovative channels for the participation of community residents. For a single channel for residents to participate in community issues, should be constantly innovative community residents to participate in channels, so that different types of residents through their preferred channel for the community to participate in public affairs; the fourth is to cultivate and develop the informal community organizations. Informal organizations in community development is still lagging behind, and informal organizations in the community residents to participate in plays an important role in promoting. Therefore, we should make great efforts to cultivate the development of community and informal organizations; the fifth is to strengthen the participation of institutional building and participation of institutional innovation. In order to fundamentally improve community residents to participate in, and to ensure that its norms and stability, we should strengthen the institutionalization of residents to participate in the building and participation of institutional innovation; the six is to position role of the government rightly, and deeppen the government's guidance and management. Government building in the community plays a very important role, but the community is, after all, residents of autonomous organizations. The government should correctly position its role, and continue to deepen its direction and management.
