A Study On Theory And Practise Of Rural Adult Education In Contemporary China

Rural Adult Education (RAE) is an important part of Civil Education System in China. As the modernization of China processes into a high step, we must improve the qualities of laborers in order to urge the development of urban and rural economy harmoniously and construct the harmonious society in China. Furthermore, as the urbanization step in China becomes more and more rapid, an increasing number of laborers go into urban and become the constructers of urban, and some other people stay at the countryside to build a new socialist countryside. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a vocational education and technical training for the rural laborers in order to meet demands of economy development, the promotion of the industrial system and the construction of a new socialist countryside in China.In the contemporary time of building a well-off society in an all-round way and building a new socialist countryside, RAE plays an important part in this process. This study selects the practice of RAE of Wenling in Zhejiang Province as a case and analyzes the causes of the success of RAE in Weinling. At the same time, this study also analyzes the problems and obstacles that Wenling encounters in the process of carrying out RAE. The author holds that Wenling's case is a typical case. This study gives an intact case of RAE in east China in order to prompt the discussion on RAE and provides concerning political departments that take charge of RAE in China with some useful consultation.
