Monitoring capability of teachers'teaching is a core element of a teacher's overall quality . But on the current situation in the country, there are not any investigation or research on the teacher's teaching monitoring capability of the minority's education. Especially to the Xinjiang Uigur minority, research in this area is still a blank. This is detrimental to the success of the Uigur teachers to improve their quality and make progress in their profession. On the situation, this research chooses the Uigur teachers of the middle school in Urmuqi as the research objects to study the current situation and the influence factors of their teaching monitoring capability by questionnaire investigation, interviews and observation of class.The research includes seven parts as follows:The first part sets out from the question of the text, combs the present research on the teacher's teaching monitoring capability of the domestic and international and gives research aims and meaning of the Uigur teachers'teaching monitoring capability.The second part analyzes the current level of the Uigur teacher's teaching monitoring capability and the influence of the different background factors .The third part finds out the main problems of the Uigur teacher's teaching monitoring capability by interview and observation of class.The fourth part analyzes the current level and the main influence factors of the Uigur teacher's teaching monitor capability.The fifth part gives the main conclusions of the research:(1)The Uigur teacher's teaching monitoring capability is in the middle level.But it differs on the different dimensionality:the abilities of Planning and assessment of students is better,the abilities of self-reflection and evluation is worse.(2) The teacher's different background factors which affect the Uigur teacher's teaching monitoring capability are gender, subjects,education background and school age of teacher.(3)The teacher's viewpoint,teaching emotion, teaching strategy and self-reflection make important influences on the Uigur teacher's teaching monitoring capability.The Chinese language level and the textbook affect the Uigur teacher's teaching monitoring capability indirectly.The sixth part gives the advices according to the current level and influence factors of the Uigur teacher's teaching monitoring capability.The last part analyzes the shortage of the research.
