Human development is the foundation and objective of the development of minority areas,and education is the most important factor in human development.The development of young people decides the future of minority areas.The Family and school as the main site of a young person's life and education,the communication and cooperation between them are necessary for the healthy development of young people.However,the survey shows that there is a serious lack of family-school communication in rural community of southwest ethnic minority areas,which leads to the gap of the school education,family education and community education.After of all,it is affecting the development health of children in minority area.Why is there a lack of the family-school communication in minority areas? What are the barriers of family-school communication? Why do these obstacles exist? How to remove these barriers? All of these questions will be explored and solved in this study.Taking Jinhe village of Xizhou town in Dali city of Yunnan province as well as the full primary school in Jinhe village for examples,and based on the following theoretical theories such as,the ecological system theory,collaborative learning,management theory,parent education right and multicultural education theory,and taking qualitative and quantitative research methods,this paper analyses the practical conditions and problems of the family-school communication in the rural community of Bai nationality,and found out the main obstacles of the current family-school communication in this community as well as explores the possibility of achieving and improving the family-school communication in minority rural communities.This fieldwork survey indicates that the school education has more accorded with the mainstream culture in the course of development in the village of Jinhe which is a rural minority community.The characteristics of minority and countryside have not been reflected.There lack of the communication and interaction among school education,community and families.The school has become a "independent kingdoms" outside the community.As a result of the development of society and economic in recent years,there are many generational families and left-behind children in Jinhe village,and it has brought many problems to family education and made school education be faced with many challenges.There is an urgent requirement of family-school communication between school education and family education.However,due to traditional believes,the educational system,the quality of teachers and parents and family structure,there are a lot of problems in family-school communication in Jinhe village.The main problems are as follows. Firstly,it is the poor awareness in communication.Secondly,there is a lack of communication frequency.Thirdly,there are some deficiencies in the form and content of communication.Fourthly, the trust degree of families and school is comparatively low,which is one of the reasons for poor communication,but also the consequences of poor communication.As a rural community of Bai minority,the family-school communication problems in Jinhe village have its own particularities.It mainly indicates that there lie some problems in the left-behind children as well as the language barrier.Based on the analysis of the obstacles of family-school communication in Jinhe village from multi-point of view,the thesis attempts to clarify the rural education value of the ethnic minority areas and explore the possibility of achieving effective family-school communication in the rural community of ethnic minorities.Starting from the objective of promoting all students' development and the existing reality,this paper puts up the corresponding suggestions and measures to promote the healthy development of young people in ethnic minority areas from three aspects,which is reorganization,system and technology.The key task is to reform the current education management system and evaluation system.A variety of measures should be taken to promote the participation of parents and community in school education,the school should be made really belongs to all community members,so as to promote the quality of schools education in minority areas,thereby to promote the healthy development of young people in ethnic minority areas.
