Assessment refers to an essential method which gets into suitability and validity of education, gain adjustment and improvement of teaching for every child's development.It proves that the function of assessment have changed from discrimination to development.It required that kindergarten teachers should pay more attention to their assessment ability.According to researches home and abroad,from an aspect of interaction between teachers and children this paper proposed that main characters of kindergarten teachers' developmental assessment ability comprised of ability to assess children's individual difference(authenticity), ability to assess by multiage and kinds of ways(pluralism),ability to assess children's developmental process(prosecuting),and ability to assess children in many aspects(all sidedness). And then by questionnaire and interview the author collected data and made an analysis,and investigated reasons causing in order to offer suggestions about how to improve kindergarten teachers' developmental assessment ability.The conclusions made by this research are as follows:Teachers have a higher degree of recognition about assessment ability,because they think assessment is the same with the simple day-to-day criticism and praise,and assess individual children means to all.In fact,they don't understand the nature.At the same time,the author Observation and find,firstly,teachers don't attend individual difference in activity.Secondly,qualitative assessments are underemphasized.. Thirdly,there are short of longitudinal comparison and dynamic assessment.While factors affecting kindergarten teachers' developmental assessment ability are analyzed,the author discussed ways to improve kindergarten teachers' developmental assessment ability from teachers' professional ability and cultural attainment,environment in kindergartens,faculty training and so on.
