Learned Helplessness means some kind of passive mentation after organisms' certain experiences. It has inaugurated a new way of motivation study since its being and the theory is widely used in education and clinic.Based on predecessors' investigation, the Questionnaire of Learned Helplessness on English learning of senior middle school students is developed to explore the status quo and the relationships between English learning strategies, English self-efficacy and attribution. The findings are as follows:(1) Learned helplessness on English learning of senior middle school students consists of emotion,cognition,behavior and motivation. The scale's reliability and the validity are well demonstrated.(2) Senior middle school students are with the middle-quantities of learned helplessness on English learning, no obvious difference between grades and students of arts and science. However, students of different sex have obvious difference with boys' much higher learned helplessness; students from the city or countryside have obvious difference, the ones from the countryside much higher; students learning English well and those learning badly have obvious difference, those learning badly much higher.(3) Students with different levels of English learning strategies have obvious difference on learned helplessness. Those who use more strategies have lower learned helplessness. There's an extra-minus-interdependence between English learning strategies and learned helplessness.(4) Students with different levels of English self-efficacy have obvious difference on learned helplessness. The higher the efficacy, the lower the learned helplessness.(5) Students with different English learning attribution have obvious difference on learned helplessness. The worse the attribution, the higher the learned helplessness.
