Academic procrastination is a behavior that the student voluntarily postpones his study, which should be done immediately or according to plan, so that he can not complete his study in time, which is usually accompanied with uncomfortable feelings. There are data from both China and other countries shows that the Academic procrastination happened commonly among college students, and it has adverse effects on academic performance,ability of self-regulation and emotion. In this study, based on revising Procrastination Assessment Scale-Students, we analyzed the current situation of university students' academic procrastination and the correlation between academic procrastination and emotional state and emotion regulation in college students. It will be helpful for student to overcome academic procrastination, to cultivate good habits, and it also provides a theoretical basis of education intervention to educators.In this study, we choose college students as our research objective. First of all, we choose thirty-two students from Hebei Normal University and Hebei University of Economics and business for interview study, and based on the result, we revised Procrastination Assessment Scale-Students. And then, taking stratified cluster sampling method, 700 students from four universities in Shijiazhuang were investigated by questionnaire survey, and 638 subjects were effective.Through the statistical analysis of the data, this study makes the following conclusions:(1) The reliability and validity of revised Procrastination Assessment Scale-Students are inline with the requirements of psychometrics.(2) The degree of academic procrastination is higher, and has significance difference indifferent sexes, majors and grades. The degree of academic procrastination in men is higher than in women, and it is higher in art students than in science students, and it shows a trend of rising from junior students to senior students.(3) The emotion of college students is complex and changeable, and there is difference indifferent sexes, majors and grades. As the grade becoming higher, it shows different change characteristics in the positive emotions and negative emotions in male and female students. The negative emotion in liberal art students is higher than in science students, and the positive emotion in liberal art students is lower.(4) In different task autonomy, there is difference in degree of student's academicprocrastination and influence by emotion. In autonomy situations, the degree of student's academic procrastination is lower, and is not influenced by emotional state so much. However, in non-autonomy situations, the degree of student's academic procrastination are higher, and is easily influenced by emotional state.(5) The correlation between different emotional state and academic procrastination isdifferent. It shows positive correlation between positive emotional state and academic procrastination, and it is not influenced by task autonomy. While it shows negative correlation between negative emotional state and academic procrastination, and is significantly influenced by task autonomy. Both positive emotions and negative emotions can predict the academic procrastination.(6) The strategy of cognitive reappraisal plays a moderating role on the correlation of emotion and academic procrastination. The strategy of expression suppression does not play such role.
